On February January 24th, Kris and I will have been together for 22 years. Here’s a photo from right around our one-year anniversary:
This was taken on approximately 14 February 1990 (my guess is the 10th 3rd) at Willamette‘s “Black Tie Affair”, a formal dance held in Portland. Man, we’re a couple of geeks.
This photo is precious! I can’t believe how young you look. But why the glasses? You don’t wear corrective lenses now, do you?

I’m pretty sure it was Saturday, February 3, 1990. Bernie and I had our first date that night (for coffee at the Beanery, not at Black Tie). Happy 22 years together!

Kris, you look just as pretty now as you were in that picture. I think that J.D. looks so young then, but looks less like a geek now without the glasses. I always remember the August 7th anniversary instead, because I associate it with my Dad’s birthday. Your Dad and I will be celebrating our 47th anniversary in Las Vegas on Friday night at the Cheesecake Factory!
